Vacation care

Come and join the fun during the school holidays at the Margaret River Recreation Centre in their exciting, action-packed Vacation Care program.

New enrolments are always welcome and bookings usually open around two weeks prior to the commencement of the school holiday period and close three business days before the start of the program.

Kids Club

Our Vacation Care program is suitable for children between Kindergarten to Year 6 and the program operates during the hours of 7.00am and 5.30pm.

Our Vacation Care services are jam packed with exciting activities, as well as incursions and excursions. Details of the activities that are available can be reviewed on the  website four weeks prior to the Vacation Care period. Please refer to the Vacation Care brochure for activity details, as well as information on any meals or snacks that might be included for specific sessions.

Please make sure any food you pack for your child does not need to be heated or cooked, and remember not to bring food containing nuts or any other potential allergens.
Your child will also need a SunSmart hat, comfortable clothing and shoes. Please leave all valuables such as money and electronic items at home. If your child needs to wear a specific brand of sunscreen for medical reasons, please pack this for your child. Payments for Vacation Care bookings are made through direct debit Via Xplor App.

Cancellations for Vacation Care need to be made 7 days prior to the session for a full refund to be given.

A day in our Vacation Care Program starts from $105 per child and Child Care Subsidy may apply.

Vacation Care – Standard Daily Rate: $105 per child per day
Vacation Care – Standard Daily Rate plus activity or bus: $117 per child per day
Vacation Care – Standard Daily Rate plus activity and bus: $129 per child per day
Late pick-up fee – $15 per 15 minute blocks after licensed hours

Your family may be eligible for Child Care Subsidy (CCS). You can apply for this payment through the Department of Human Services, which will reduce your childcare fees.

At vacation care we provide afternoon tea for the children and always offer fresh fruit and vegetables. Children need to bring morning tea and lunch and a piece of fruit for the shared fruit plate.

Margaret River OSHC provides options for allergies and is an allergy and nut aware zone. Please make sure any food allergies, dislikes and special dietary requirements your child may have are recorded on the enrolment form and discussed with the Childcare Supervisor.

You will be charged for all days of care you have booked unless you cancel in the 7 days prior, this includes unexpected illnesses/cancellations.

Children will be taken on excursions as part of the planned activities. These excursions will be detailed on the program and timetable, with all necessary items to bring. For more information, please refer to page 18 of the Parent Handbook.
