Our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) offers Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care (including pupil free days). The licensed service offers a wide range of activities within safe, supervised and enjoyable environments.

Before school care

Drop your child at the Margaret River Recreation Centre OSHC and we’ll make sure they get to school on time.

Opening at 6.45am, our licensed Before School Care program allows you to drop your kids at the centre and get to where you need to be, safe in the knowledge that they’ll be supervised and make it to school on time. This service is available for children Kindergarten to Year 6 attending a range of schools in the local area.

Our Before School Care service operates from 6.45am until 9.00am. Bookings are essential to guarantee your child an enrolment and places are limited for Enrolments.

Joining Before School Care costs from $35 per child per day for permanent booking and $38.50 per child per day for casual booking. Child Care Subsidy may apply.

After school care

We offer a fully supervised and licensed After School Care service during the school term for children Kindergarten to Year 6 students. Children can participate in a range of fun activities at the Margaret River Recreation Centre OSHC including crafts, games, sports, cooking, swimming and visits to the library and surrounding parks.

Our qualified staff can collect your children from local schools in the area for our After School Care Program. This program provides afternoon tea everyday and is followed by arts, crafts, a range of sporting activities and learning games designed to develop their skills. We also have use of a playground, basketball courts and can take your children to swimming lessons, dance classes, coaching or anything else they may be enrolled in within the centre.

Our After School Care service operates from 3.00pm until 5.30pm. Bookings are essential to guarantee your child an enrolment and places are limited.

Joining After School Care costs from $43.75 per child per day for permanent booking and $48.15 per child per day for casual booking. Child Care Subsidy may apply.

Important information

Our Centre is regulated by the standards and adheres to the guidelines set by the Australian Government Department of Education, adopting the learning outcomes of the My Time, Our Place Framework for School Age Care.

We also strive to meet the guidelines of the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) who oversee the implementation of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and works with the state and territory regulatory authorities to implement and administer the NQF.

The National Quality Framework raises quality and drives continuous improvement and consistency in Australian education and care services.

After School Care – Recurring Bookings: $43.75 per child per day

Late pick-up fee – $15 per 15 minute blocks after licensed hours

Your family may be eligible for Child Care Subsidy (CCS). You can apply for this payment through the Department of Human Services, which will reduce your childcare fees.

Before and after school care provides healthy food options for your children and is included in the daily cost. We provide breakfast and afternoon tea for the children and always offer fresh fruit and vegetables.

Margaret River OSHC provides options for allergies and is an allergy and nut aware zone. Please make sure any food allergies, dislikes and special dietary requirements your child may have are recorded on the enrolment form and discussed with the Childcare Supervisor.

You will be charged for all days of care you have booked unless you cancel in the 7 days prior, this includes unexpected illnesses/cancellations.
