School holidays: Inflatable Fun Day!

Get ready for a splash of fun! This Friday 10 April, the Rec Centre will host a free Inflatable Fun Day, turning the pool into a giant playground for kids these holidays.

With oversized inflatables taking over the Aquatic Centre, this action-packed event promises a safe and fully supervised environment where children can climb, bounce and slide their way through a memorable day.

Designed to cater to different age groups, the two sessions ensure every child can participate comfortably and confidently.

The day kicks off with a dedicated Juniors session (ages 3–6) from 10am to 11.30am. This gentle introduction to inflatable play is tailored for younger children, helping them build water confidence while enjoying a fun and supportive atmosphere.

Later, the energy ramps up with the Older Kids session (ages 7–17) from 5pm to 7pm. Featuring larger inflatables and more challenging obstacles, this session is perfect for kids and teens ready for a more thrilling experience.

Visitors are advised that the Aquatic Centre will be closed to the general public between 5:00pm and 7:00pm to accommodate the second session.

Safety remains a top priority throughout the event, with the Centre’s Watch Around Water Policy in place:

  • Children under 5 must have a parent or guardian in the water within arm’s reach at all times
  • Children under 12 must have a parent or guardian actively supervising within the venue

Best of all, the Inflatable Fun Day is completely free* pool entry applies, making it an accessible and exciting option for families during the school break.
