Access, programs and equipment for people with disabilities

The Shire of Augusta Margaret River has been working to improve access and inclusion in our recreational facilities. As part of our range of group fitness courses, there are Count Me In sessions available to people with disabilities, their families and support workers.

AQUAbility
Fun and games with movement to music in the lagoon pool. Suitable for adults with all levels of ability.

PLAYability
Have fun participating in a facilitated group activity in the indoor courts as part of GYMKIDZ. Suitable for children aged 1 – 4 years old.

DANCEability
A fun and lively session to music designed to stimulate the senses through playing games and increase range in movement using hoops, balls, agility ladders and obstacle courses.

GYMability – Personal Training
Our trainers will design a personalised program to meet your individual training goals. The program is followed up with ten personal training sessions with one of our experienced, professional trainers.

GYMability
An open session in the gym where our personal trainers are on hand to assist you with your individually tailored training program.

GYMability – Group Sessions
Love GYMability and want to have more time in the gym with some friends? Come along to a GYMability group session. Our trainer will be there to help support the group and encourage you to exercise in a supportive, social environment.

FAMILY play date
Time for people with disabilities and their families to get out and have some fun together. Play with some of the centres equipment including balls and hoops. Come and have a go!
